The ideal environment is one that both supports & challenges us. Too often we go without both of these conditions. A Life Coach will tease out and help you create your vision of what you really want your life to be. If everything in your life stays status quo, you will head into a default future. We need another perspective if not we tend to go around repeating our default patterns and getting nowhere. As a Transformational Life Coach Linda will support you to become the successful and truly happy person you know you are meant to be.

You're someone who’s trying your best, but life, or a relationship in your life, feels overwhelming. You might be managing anxiety, dealing with family issues, recovering from trauma, navigating life transitions, or facing the pressures of career, performance, or relocation. You might be neurodivergent or exploring how past experiences still affect how you show up in the world. You´re looking for a Therapist because, in part, you want to understand yourself and know how to change. You want to understand what's holding you back and feel empowered to live a fulfilling life.

You've taken the first step by seeking help in what could be the most important journey of your life. It can be nerve-racking thinking about sitting in front of a stranger and telling them about yourself. What if they judge you? What if they don't believe you? What if it doesn't work? These are common fears, and I've had them myself when I first started therapy. When we work together, our relationship will be one built on trust, confidentiality, and without judgment. I am also a Play Therapist with children from 4 years old. In the playroom play is the language; this helps them navigate and work through their feelings.

A space for you to share your life experiences. You can disclose what you feel comfortable talking about at your own pace in a confidential, safe, private space. Many people come to therapy to help with current struggles or past experiences, but many also attend just to maintain a good mindset. Each person’s life experience is different and as we know sometimes it can be challenging, therefore talking can help to clear our minds, uncover our struggles, and understand our emotions. Therapy can be challenging, but it can also be very rewarding. Everyone deserves to be heard and supported. Looking forward to meeting you :)

From working with my past client I have learned that my style works well for people who are struggling with self-criticism, low self-worth or anxiety and who are looking for a safe, non-judgemental space to explore their thoughts and emotions. They may feel stuck in unhelpful patterns and are open in gaining insight into their own experiences. This client values a warm and transparent relationship and is willing to reflect on their internal world, challenge negative thinking, and be open to change. They may not have all the answer yet, but they're willing to start the journey.

My clients tend to be thoughtful, reflective people who feel something in their lives is no longer working as it once did. They may be experiencing anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, or a sense of disconnection from themselves or others. Often they are navigating demanding work, identity questions, or the emotional shifts that come with parenting and major life transitions. They are usually looking for a space to think more deeply about their experiences, understand long-standing patterns, and move toward a more grounded and meaningful way of living.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
