Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or like you're constantly masking? You’re not alone and you don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. I work with adults who are neurodivergent and navigating anxiety, burnout, identity questions, and the emotional weight of constant masking. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to work with me. I’m a pre-accredited psychotherapist with lived experience of ADHD. My approach is neurodivergent-affirming, sensory-aware, and rooted in curiosity, not correction.

Yes, talking is good and helps. But maybe therapy can be much more... I blend psychotherapy, coaching and CBT to see things differently and help in fresh new ways. Curious?

Clients often come to see me with difficulties such as depression, anxiety, bereavement and grief, trauma, relationship difficulties and parent-adolescent work.
You may already have an idea about counselling, but it is important to know that there is not one type of therapy that suits everyone. My main priority is to work with you to develop trust and ensure you have a safe space (free from judgement) to work. We can then use a range of different methods including art, talking, music, worksheets and mindfulness.

With over 10 years’ experience working with children, adolescents and adults, I support people facing a wide range of challenges, including perinatal mental health concerns, depression, trauma, anxiety, grief, perfectionism, and relationship difficulties. I am willing to discuss and agree a fee for higher frequency work such as twice weekly therapy.

In my experience pain is what usually brings people into my room. I believe there are very few of us who have been blessed enough not to have experienced pain to some degree. I respect and acknowledge that everyone's pain is unique. Each individual's pain deserves time, care and reflection to help them move towards greater understanding of themselves and those around them. Anxiety, addiction, bereavement, bullying, loss of sense of self, to name but a few all cause pain. My aim is to offer a warm, safe inviting space and tools to help ease the pain manifested to enable fuller, happier lives to be lived, not endured.

I offer psychotherapy as a thoughtful, collaborative space where people can slow things down and make sense of what is happening in their lives and relationships. People come to therapy for many different reasons, sometimes because something feels clearly difficult, and sometimes because they have a sense that something isn’t quite sitting right and they want space to explore it. My work has also been shaped by many years supporting children and adults in education and community settings across diverse cultural contexts, often alongside psychologists and multidisciplinary teams.

Parenting Counsellors
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
