I provide a calm, safe, comfortable and confidential space for my clients. I use and integrative approach as not all clients fit one approach. I use what works best from each approach and blend them together. I empower my clients to explore their issues and assist in coming up with practical and effective solutions to these issues.

I continue to meet clients in a face-to-face setting, while adhering to the guidelines for same.
Our world has changed beyond recognition in the past few months and for many people it can feel very overwhelming. Fear, panic, anxiety and stress are all too common in the clients I am meeting on a day to day basis. I hear how isolating it is for people at the moment. Relationship and connection are vital now, more than ever. Talking with a trained professional can help make sense of what you are feeling. Through this therapeutic relationship, you can find connection, healing and the space to speak about the difficult challenges you are going through.

The stress of modern life can lead us to experience anxiety, depression and many other symptoms. Whilst bereavement, change and loss are all natural processes, they can also be painful and destabilizing which can create feelings of anger, helplessness and vulnerability. Challenges in the present can also unearth experiences from our past which we might not have had the opportunity to fully understand and process. These feelings can seriously impact on our lives including relationships, physical health and work such that it can sometimes feel we are out of control.

I have worked with a wide variety of adults and young people for nearly 20 years locally and internationally to improve their quality of life by improving mental health, reducing isolation and increasing their participation in their communities and society. It was during this time that my passion for personal development and wellbeing became ignited. I have gained qualifications in Social Science, Yoga Teacher Training, Somatic Experiencing and Community Development amongst others. This led to my pursuance of a MSc in Pluralistic Counselling and Psychotherapy and more recently a Diploma in Trauma Informed Psychotherapy.

As a qualified Counsellor Psychotherapist, I believe that discovering the secrets of happiness isn’t just for a fortunate few—it’s a path we all walk. Throughout my personal and professional experiences, I’ve come to realize that no one sets out to be unhappy.Often we adapt to life’s challenges out of necessity, sometimes without even realizing it. But here’s the exciting part: everything we’ve learned, we can also unlearn. This means we have the power to reshape our journey towards peace, joy and fulfilment.I wholeheartedly believe that therapy is a transformative journey open to everyone seeking growth, healing, and self-discovery

I offer therapy sessions in-person, or online via video.
I am a pre-accredited humanistic psychotherapist with over 40 years experience as a nurse, bringing a deep understanding of emotional and physical suffering to my work. My psychotherapy journey began in 1998, and although life events delayed qualification, they have enriched my capacity for empathy and presence. I completed my psychotherapy degree in 2024, combining professional training with lived experience. Having supported people through vulnerability, trauma, loss, and transition, I understand how profoundly early experiences and relationships shape us.

I work in person and online.
My name is Éadaoin and you are very welcome to my profile page. We alI know that life can be challenging and at times we may find ourselves feeling stuck. We live in such a fast paced world it becomes all too easy to relegate our own needs to the bottom of our list of priorities. I believe that we all have the creativity within us to grow and adapt to any situation that comes our way. Sometimes we need a safe space in order to rediscover who we are, where we are and what it is that we actually want for our one and only precious life. A space to untangle and recreate the life that we want to live.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
