Let me help you to navigate challenges such as stress anxiety, identity, self-image, and manage your wellbeing.
Integrative therapy is about working across therapy genres rather than subscribing to one discipline. It's a dynamic and flexible approach that draws from various modalities to meet the unique needs of each individual. What sets my practice apart is the blend of coaching psychology into my counselling approach.

These include anxiety, depression, grief, body dysmorphic disorder (BDD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, postnatal trauma, complex trauma, suicidal thoughts, deliberate self-harm (DSH), anger management, mood disorders, and low self-esteem.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), widely recognised as the gold standard for treating mental health issues. However, I believe therapy should be personalised, not one-size-fits-all. Every individual is unique, so I tailor treatment to suit their specific needs, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic experience.

Having spent many years working as a volunteer with adolescents in difficulties, suffering from anxiety, stress and depression I have great respect for the demands both adolescents and adults face.
Sometimes we need a non-bias“outside” perspective to hear our own voices. As an integrative therapist I utilize approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, person centered, Solution focused, mindfulness etc. depending on the needs and requests of each individual. Pulling apart what may often feel like a tangled ball of wool in ones head in order to recognise, prioritize and cope with the sometimes over whelming thoughts, feeling and behaviors that present. Providing a secure, non-judgmental, confidential environment in which you can safely express your thoughts, feelings, and concerns at a rate that is comfortable to you

Symptoms may include stress, anxiety, conflict, overwhelm, poor self esteem and issues with boundaries, balance and success.
I work with women that feel stuck, particularly in relationships or professional situations that have them feeling overwhelmed, overlooked, unappreciated or undervalued. I help them release any latent beliefs or stories that are holding them back and reconnect to their most powerful and successful selves with a renewed sense of identity, a vision for how they'd like their life to be and the ability to reach their potential to get there.

People frequently experience anxiety before visiting a therapist because it can be very intimidating to discuss our most intimate thoughts and feelings with a stranger.
I aim to give clients a healing environment that is private, strictly confidential, and judgment-free so they can recognise, investigate, and ultimately address their issues. I am an integrative psychotherapist, with a BSc Honours Degree, and have a genuine empathetic personality. In addition to integrating different models and methods of theory, I use a person-centred approach that is specifically customised to address the needs and concerns of each of my clients. These include internal family systems, attachment theory, cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused therapy, and psychoeducation.

I treat a variety of common mental health difficulties and life challenges (e.g. mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, complex trauma, relationships issues, stress, low self-esteem, perfectionist traits).
I am a qualified and BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, and I run a digital and face-face private practise. CBT is a short-term therapy with a very clear evidence base. Engaging in therapy via telephone and video-call works well for lots of clients who have busy lifestyles and find it tricky to set aside time for self care.

Have you finally got to that point in your struggle with anxiety that you really want to deal with it?
I use what is considered the gold standard of treatment for anxiety called Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) works because it gets you to challenge the distorted ways of thinking that is the cause of much of your anxiety. In therapy you will learn tools and techniques to challenge your anxiety.

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
