I have extensive experience (20+ years) working as a counsellor and psychotherapist on a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, sexuality-related issues, trauma, life crises and neurodiversity. I also have extensive experience working as a clinical supervisor as well as providing expert support to trainee psychotherapists. I believe that all individuals seeking psychotherapy have the ability to find their own way forward within the supportive and safe space that the therapeutic relationship can offer. And that by sharing their unique struggles and blocks with their therapist that they can move to living a better life.
I am an integrative psychotherapist and draw from person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive approaches, gestalt, body-based approaches and art and creative processes according to the unique needs of each individual client. I have numerous professional qualifications and am a long term accredited member of both the IACP and the IAHIP.
Sometimes life throws curve balls at us and can lead to situations where we are overwhelmed and no longer able to cope with intense feelings and difficult thoughts alone. Reaching out for support from a psychotherapist can be a hugely important step on the journey towards learning to be kinder to ourselves and relieving pressures that can keep us stuck.
