I am an accredited therapist and clinical supervisor. I provide short term counselling and longer-term psychotherapy on a one to one basis in a confidential and safe environment including online. The process empowers you to explore issues and understand thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviours which cause suffering and facilitates the safe space to achieve greater awareness, insight, healing and growth. I work using a Person-Centred Humanistic and Integrative approach to psychotherapy, drawing on Compassionate Inquiry, Polyvagal Theory, Psychodynamic theory, Somatic psychotherapy and CBT where appropriate.
In my previous career as a solicitor I worked with vulnerable clients in family, equality and refugee law. I represented clients in stressful situations encompassing divorce, separation, custody, maintenance and domestic violence. I worked with many gay, lesbian and transgender clients, people with disabilities and people from different cultures.
As a therapist I recognise the individuality and unique potential of each person. My aim is to support each individual as they gain an awareness, insight and understanding of their life challenges and problems and also supporting them in their journey towards acceptance, healing and change.
