My approach is collaborative, non-judgemental and warm and my goal is to understand your specific experience and needs. I use a variety of approaches that are person centred, this means that I value you as a human being above all else. I believe that therapy helps us develop an understanding of feelings and emotions, while creating a space for change to happen. It offers the opportunity to break free from old patterns that no longer serve us, and be more self-accepting, and more connected to others. Our problems are unique to us and only we can create the solution that will work for us as individuals.
I provide a private space where you can feel safe to explore the issues that have become challenging for you. Whatever you are thinking or feeling is valuable and welcome and will become part of what you are trying to resolve. My special areas of interest are childhood trauma, attachment issues, relationship difficulties and anxiety/depression.
In our first session together you can expect to have time to ask questions about what to expect from the process, as well as how I work. I will be curious about your situation and your hopes/expectations about therapy. The structure of the therapy will depend on your needs and goals. Sessions are weekly and 60 minutes duration.
