Alice believes that the strength of the relationship between a therapist and client is essential. It is only when a safe, non-judgemental, empathetic and trusting space is created that clients can feel empowered to explore their own thoughts, feelings and beliefs creating greater self-awareness and a deeper self-acceptance. This healing process leads to the client enhancing their relationships as well as helping them to gain more control over their life. Alice has worked with an array of issues, including bereavement, grief, depression, anxiety, stress, family and relationship issues, sexual abuse, self-harming and childhood trauma.
Alice works from a humanistic and integrative approach drawing on different therapeutic models including psychodynamic, cognitive, person-centred and existentialism. She is able to offer a non-judgemental, safe, empathetic and confidential space to work with clients to explore their issues of concern and areas of their life causing them emotional pain.
