About
I'm an accredited therapist with the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and have over 10 years of experience since graduating. I work from an Integrative approach combining several theoretical models such as person-centred, CBT and Minfulness but always keep the therapeutic relationship a priority. I aim to provide a warm, empathic, safe space for clients. I'm also a qualified trainer with a passion for mental health education and reducing stigma. I have delivered over 200 talks, presentations, webinars and media interviews in recent years. To learn more about me please visit https://www.alanfarrellcounselling.ie/
I have a lot of experience helping people with anxiety, low mood, depression, low self-esteem, work stress, bereavement and have also worked extensively in the area of suicide and self-harm intervention. I aim to help clients become more empowered and capable of finding solutions, develop coping skills and a deeper self-understanding.
Working as a psychotherapist, I continue to feel privileged and honoured to witness the strength and courage displayed by clients. I find it very rewarding to see clients find hope, become more self-aware, confident and develop ways to work through their problems or cope better with loss. I learn from all of my clients. I look forward to hearing from you.
