It’s weirdly heartening and disheartening to read Dr. Boyd’s strong stance regarding PHPs’ extortion. For the longest time, I and a small group of colleagues have been calling attention to this pattern. Over the years docs who’ve read my blog have spoken with me about their stories of extortion. But what I found, in my case and theirs, it’s so “out there” and unbelievable, that people treat you like a disgruntled conspiracy nut. And that’s why I’m also heartened, that with Dr. Boyd’s authoritative perspective, there’s finally a solid validation. But I’m also disheartened as I know so many have been harmed by this extortion and injustice (including even rigged labs!) and so many fine physicians are still being extorted by these predators. ….(disrupted physician blog)
