Janice is a Psychotherapist, CBT therapist, Registered Play Therapy Practitioner and the first Certified Matrescence coach in Hong Kong. Following her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Sydney, Janice went on to earn a Master’s degree in Counselling with distinction from Monash University. She completed her clinical training with Psychiatrist Dr. Willy Wong at Hong Kong Psychiatric & Integrated Medical Centre, before training in areas including therapeutic play, family therapy, mindfulness practices, and maternal mental health support.
Prior to becoming a Psychotherapist, Janice worked in Investment Banks and Financial Institutions -an intense, high-pressure sector that gave her profound insights into the experience of professionals working in stressful, competitive environments. In her private practice, Janice works with clients from full-time mothers, to doctors, lawyers & executives.
It is my own healing journey that brought me to this work. From social anxiety to burnout, I know what it’s like to be crippled by self-doubt. I know what it’s like to hurt oneself in order to please others. Kind souls & wise mentors that mirrored to me what I could not see - my innate goodness and worth. It is now my mission to do the same for others.
