Dara Winley Ph.D.

Dr. Dara Winley works with children and their families, individuals, and couples with conflict. Dr. Winley has a passion for and commitment to working with children dealing with emotional and behavioral regulation difficulties, low self-esteem and identity development. Trained in Attachment-Based Family Therapy, she seeks to repair attachment ruptures between children and parents and helping parents gain understanding into their child’s emotional developmental stage. Currently, she primarily works with adults in various life stages in her clinical practice. Her understanding and sensitivity to multiculturalism and its impact on the therapeutic process is a major part of her work. Dr. Winley has worked in diverse communities and embraces the unique backgrounds each of her clients comes from. Her therapeutic approach includes incorporating several schools of therapy and tailoring interventions to best fit her clients. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Family Institute at Northwestern University where she teaches, supervises, conducts research and maintains a clinical caseload. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
