Hello. I am a fully qualified Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I offer a confidential and safe space to support you in overcoming difficulties you may be experiencing in life. There may be many reasons why you feel you need to access other support other than talking to family and friends. Sometimes we can feel very stuck in our lives, this could either be in our relationships or with particular emotional problems. Everyone is unique and as such, they things you bring to counselling will be unique to you. Counselling will give you a time and place for to be heard when you need it most.
I place great importance on the counselling relationship we develop together. I will not tell you what to do about your difficulties. What I will do, is listen to what you bring. I will provide you with a time and a place in which you can explore your difficulties, without judgement, helping you to find a way forward that feels comfortable to you.
I will not advise you or offer solutions, as I believe that you are the expert in your own life. It was during my own therapy that I came to learn how being heard can bring lasting change in our lives. My role in our relationship is to be alongside you as you explore your difficulties and to offer you an environment in which you too can be fully heard.
