Hello, my name is Zia, and I am a warm and empathetic qualified counsellor dedicated to providing you with the support you need to navigate life's challenges.
In my work, I have supported individuals in various settings, including working within local violence agains woman and girls (VAWG). I have provided longer-term therapy for those who have been impacted by trauma, supporting men woman and children helping them heal and move forward in their lives. Additionally, I have experience within the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services.
I work integratively, which means I am trained in and can draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, including person-centred therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This flexibility allows us to work together to find the methods and techniques that are best suited to you as an individual, rather than following a "one-size-fits-all" approach.
Alongside my qualifications, training, and professional experience, I have personally encountered difficult and trying times in my own life, during which I sought therapy. I fully appreciate how daunting and confusing it can feel to take that first step into therapy, and I understand the courage it takes to begin this process.
