Hello, welcome to Therapy NorthWest. We support the wellbeing of adults & young people in clinics in Chorley & surrounding areas. We believe that life can be challenging with a number of different pressures & demands. We do not believe that these things make us ‘abnormal’ or ‘ill’, rather that there are times when we require support to work through difficulties, what has happened and how we have responded. Zandra has many years experience working with individuals, couples, families and systems to help foster greater well-being.
Dr Zandra Bamford (BSc, MSc, DClinPsy) is the founder of Therapy NorthWest, is registered with the Health Care Professionals Council & works part time as a lead Consultant within NHS mental health services. Zandra offers CBT, EMDR, CAT informed, CFT, Internal Family Systems, Safe & Sound Protocol and Somatic approaches to provide an individualised therapy.
We draw on a number of different psychological models to help us to understand how difficulties have arisen & are maintained. Humans are (& life is!) very complex, as such we feel we need a number of competencies and skills to provide the best fit to you, for a greater depth of healing Zandra utilises Internal Family systems therapy with somatic approaches.
