You may know what is bringing you to therapy, or sense that something is not quite right. Perhaps sleep has become difficult, with insomnia or a mind that rarely switches off, or the same patterns keep returning- overthinking, self-criticism, pressure to get things right, or relationships that leave you uncertain or disconnected. In therapy, we can make space for what you’re going through now and understand it in its own right, while staying open to the wider context of your life and what may lie beneath the surface. Together, we can make sense of what feels stuck and work towards greater self-understanding, steadiness and freedom.
Alongside psychotherapy, I bring over eight years’ experience in sleep physiology & sleep medicine across NHS and private healthcare, including published research. Whether or not sleep brings you to therapy, this background helps me understand difficulties in the wider context of how sleep, stress, emotional wellbeing and the body can influence one another.
You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong or know exactly what you want to talk about. We can begin with what feels most important and make sense of it together, at a pace that feels manageable. If you are considering therapy, you are welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial session and see whether working together feels right.
