About

At Yorkhill Childrens’ Hospital, Cross House Paediatic Unit and Glasgow Royal Infirmary, I helped children and adults manage illness, pain and invasive treatments. In Maternity & Neonatal Services, I supported couples during pregnancy, after traumatic birth and loss and supported families with babies in SCBU and ICU. I've worked in Adult Services, both in community mental health services and alongside the medical profession in hospitals. I worked for more than six years at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery and Burns unit supporting individuals with poor body image, changes in functioning due to illness or injury and PTSD.
I've studied at Glasgow University, Boston College and undertaken additional training in a range of therapeutic approaches, including diagnosis specific CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR and Compassion Focussed Therapy. I have expertise in supporting individuals make medical decisions and supporting patients through surgery and recovery.
I aim not only to treat but to teach psychological skills so you leave my clinic empowered to manage illness, mental health problems and the stress of modern life. As a mum, I understand the importance of knowing how to support your child, therefore whilst maintaining their confidentiality , I will provide appropriate reading and skills to parents.
