At YSF our counsellors and psychotherapists work with children and young people, alongside parents and carers who are concerned about their child’s emotional wellbeing.
Many families come to us after weeks or months of carrying worry on their own, noticing changes in mood, behaviour, confidence, friendships, or school attendance, and feeling unsure how best to help.
All of our counsellors hold specific qualifications in working with Children and Young People (CYP), ensuring our work is developmentally informed, emotionally safe, and responsive to each child’s stage and needs.
We support a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem issues, and bereavement support, including anticipatory grief. trauma-informed, relational, and carefully tailored to each child or young person.
