Life can be hard at times. We can experience loss, changes in our health, family circumstances or work life. Maybe our relationships are not fulfilling our needs and we do not know how to change things. At times, we don’t feel good about ourselves, we lose confidence in our ability to cope with life or maybe we feel impacted by past experiences or held back through feelings of anger, shame or guilt. Sometimes we don’t know what’s wrong, but we just know something isn’t right. I can help you explore what is going on for you by giving you a supportive space to talk and be heard.
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw on a range of counselling theories reflecting what I feel will be most helpful to you. I work with adults, young people (14+) and welcome autistic and ADHD clients, formally or self-diagnosed. I offer face to face sessions in the centre of York, as well as online and telephone counselling.
It is very important to choose a counsellor you feel safe and comfortable with. I offer free 20 minute telephone consultations to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you and answer any questions you have. If we decide to go ahead, we can discuss the mode of therapy which would suit you best and arrange your first session.
