I work in a way that’s person-centred, integrative, inclusive and relational. I always place your needs and values at the centre of our therapeutic work, while embracing your freedom and autonomy. I take an affirmative approach in encouraging you to bring any and all parts of your unique self; I take care to not pathologise or criticise you. I work very relationally, and I believe therapy can only be effective if there’s a strong therapeutic relationship at the heart of it. I’m interested in exploring what goes on in the therapeutic process and how this may mirror dynamics you’re experiencing in your wider life and relationships.
I have a special interest and passion in working creatively, using somatic approaches & embodiment practices. I strongly believe that as well as talking, there are many different ways for us to communicate and express our feelings and experiences. Examples of things I might encourage you to explore include imagery, dreams, puppets, sand trays & poetry.
I am committed to working intersectionally and using anti-oppressive practice, and to the ongoing learning and reflection that working in this way requires.
