Online Counselling for WN1

Hi, my name is Karen. I gained my qualification in counselling and psychotherapy many years ago in 1997. I was privileged to attend an accredited course at Salford college. I also acquired certificates in sociology, psychology, child psychology, criminology, and hypnotherapy. Alongside the hypnotherapy certificate, I completed workshops in dream therapy, sex therapy, and inner child work. Over the years I have specialised in inner child work, and have witnessed many positive outcomes from using this technique. Since qualifying, I have worked with a diverse range of issues, of which no problem is too big or too small.

Hi all, I am a qualified Integrative Couples Psychotherapist/Counsellor (meaning I work using Person Centred, Psychodynamic and/or CBT where required). Although, I believe that the skills and experience that I have learned are massively important, I also truly believe the 'therapeutic relationship' between me and you is just as important. People often seek counselling for a number of reasons, whether they are feeling low, want to offload or it may be something that is deeper. We will work together to see if it is something surface level or whether it is deeper and use the relevant therapy accordingly.

Im a person centred counsellor with 11 years experience working with a range of clients with different presenting needs from depression, low mood, bereavement, trauma related issues, relationship breakdowns, stress, and anxiety. I feel I offer a friendly but professional service and like to think I’m a warm and caring person who strives to support each and every single client I encounter. I feel my lived experiences really helps to shape the therapist I am and believe my deep empathy and caring nature helps to facilitate a safe space for clients to explored thoughts and feelings that they wish to share
