It can be a very stressful time for clients reaching out and making the first appointment, I completely understand this, but I would like to reassure and make you feel relaxed and listened to in a safe space, I myself was once the client and have had a difficult and challenging past and this was one of the reasons I went into counselling. I offer hourly sessions from £50. My approach is to offer you Person-Centered therapy, which means a warm, non-judgemental and empathic understanding of your difficulties and concerns. Through collaboration, we will explore your difficulties /concerns to hopefully find solutions for you.

I'm Kelly, my work is grounded in curiosity, care, and deep respect for your individual journey. Many people come to therapy carrying invisible burdens such as fears, anxieties, overwhelm or experiences that have been held alone for too long. You may be feeling that the world sees one version of you, but underneath you carry emotional heaviness that is invisible to others. Therapy offers a space to slow down and gently explore what’s happening to bring understanding to your experience. My approach is relational, meaning that the relationship we build together becomes a central part of the healing process.

I work with people who feel anxious, low, or stuck, or who notice themselves repeating patterns in relationships. Sometimes it’s harder to name - more a sense that something isn’t quite right. I offer a calm, relational space where we can explore what’s going on at your pace. Through developing awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, something can begin to shift, allowing for greater clarity, stability, and choice.

Through our bodies, we have a unique capacity to heal psychological wounds and break free of limitations. Psychotherapy offers space to be met exactly as we are, so we can begin to see ourselves as whole and access our inner guidance and resources. I believe in the wisdom of the body in how it responds to and heals from trauma, and I have experience of working with people somatically to find greater ease in their bodies and lives.

Feeling stuck in the same painful patterns or relationships? I offer relational therapy for individuals and couples online across the UK and in person in Somerset, with appointments in Exeter and Bristol available by arrangement. Many of the people I work with feel exhausted by repeating the same struggles, arguments, disappointments, or ways of relating, despite trying hard to move forward. Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what is happening beneath those patterns, and reconnect with yourself more honestly.

A qualified psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor, I am a member of UK Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKCP) and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I have Diplomas in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy and Counselling.
With experience in supporting people through loss and bereavement both in private practice and as part of the bereavement counselling team at a leading London Hospice, I am interested in making room to process loss and how it shapes our stories, particularly the losses we may have experienced in childhood.

I work as an integrative therapist with a core foundational training in person-centred therapy. I provide a safe, confidential and trauma informed space to help explore what to do with this ‘one wild and precious life’. What can help with this is providing counselling in natural, outdoor settings. For this we can utilise the quiet and spacious grounds of Dartington Hall for ecotherapy. I believe that any healing is closely connected to nature. Being outdoors can help to feel less confined and more free to explore thoughts and process emotions.

Many of the people I work with are insightful, self-aware and emotionally reflective- yet still find themselves stuck in painful relational patterns. They often arrive exhausted by overthinking, second-guessing themselves, overgiving, or carrying the emotional weight within relationships. On the surface they may look like they have things together, but internally something feels off. You may notice yourself repeating the same dynamics, struggling to trust your instincts, or feeling drawn towards relationships that leave you anxious, unseen or emotionally depleted.

You might already understand your patterns, but still feel stuck in them — overthinking after conversations, feeling “too much” or not enough, or holding everything together while feeling disconnected underneath. Maybe you’ve tried talking therapies like CBT, but the same emotional loops keep returning. Often this is because the patterns aren’t just in thoughts — they’re held deeper, in the nervous system. I specialise in anxiety, trauma, and relationship patterns, using EMDR alongside parts-work (IFS), somatic and mindfulness-based approaches.

Transpersonal Counsellors
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.

How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.

Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilise the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.

What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioural therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
