I offer therapy both online or in-person in Llandudno.
So often the psychological distress we experience is an understandable reaction to the things we have gone through and the situations we find ourselves in. Therapy can help us make sense of what is happening and develop new ways of seeing or coping with things. What brings people to therapy can be vastly different. Maybe you’ve lost enjoyment in your life or work & are feeling overwhelmed. Maybe you’ve noticed patterns that keep showing up in your life & you want to get to the bottom of why you do what you do. Or maybe you’ve experienced some painful things & feel that they’re impacting your life & you want that to be different.

I work face-to-face from my North Wales practice, or online via Zoom/WhatsApp
Thanks to you for visiting my my profile. Having delivered therapy to the Armed Forces community, NHS, and privately over the past 23 years I've been privileged to support a broad range of people and their difficulties. Whether struggling with the impacts of trauma, or with the stuck feeling of stress, anxiety, loss, and depression, finding acceptance is often the key to the door of your healing. I believe that we sometimes forget the inherent goodness that lies within, which once reconnected with, can mean we live a more meaningful and rewarding life. Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or to arrange a consultation.

I’m glad you’re here. I’d like to offer you a space to talk, and a moment to feel heard. I sometimes think of counselling as you bringing your own jigsaw puzzle into the room. You may have a sense of what the picture is supposed to look like, but the pieces can feel scattered, unclear, forgotten, or difficult to place. My role is not to tell you what your picture should be. It is to sit alongside you and help you make sense of the pieces, one by one. You bring the knowledge of your life and what each piece means. I offer a calm, supportive space where we can begin to understand how they fit together.

I offer long and short term in-person therapy to adults in North Wales, or online across the UK.
Hi, I'm Angharad. I offer a gentle, safe, and confidential space where you can explore whatever’s on your mind - whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating relationship challenges, processing grief, or simply sensing that something doesn’t feel quite right in your life. Many people come to see me after having tried more structured therapies like CBT wanting something deeper that gets to the root of their difficulties. Rather than offering tools and coping strategies, I help you work through the emotional and relational patterns beneath your struggles which leads to lasting change through deepening self-understanding.

Welcome to my page! My journey to Soul Psychology started 30+ years ago during the extensive practice & study of Yoga, Meditation & Eastern Philosophy. This led me to become a Yoga teacher to assist others to find their way back to wholeness. Eventually I came to a study of Western Psychology, specifically Psychodynamic, Jungian Archetypes, Synchronicity, Dreams, Soul Embodiment & Shadow Integration work. I feel that my experience in the fields of yoga, spirituality and psychology has given me the insight to access the hidden subconscious layers of human psyche to facilitate healing, emotional self-regulation & self-empowerment

I offer face to face, telephone and online sessions.
There are moments in life that can affect us deeply, whether they happened recently or are rooted in the past. These can have a powerful impact on how we feel and function. You might be feeling overwhelmed, confused, or stuck in patterns that are hard to understand or manage. These experiences can shape how we think, feel, and behave, often without us realising. You might want things to change, or feel ready to change something within yourself. This is where counselling can support you. I recognise and value the unique qualities you already bring, and I offer a compassionate, non judgemental space.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
