I provide integrative counselling, drawing from Person Centered, CBT and Psychodynamic approach as well as using psychoeducation to aid in understanding.
Do you find yourself wanting to belong and are not sure how to fit in? Do you feel stuck and are unsure of how to move forwards? Have you found your tribe or community yet? Do you feel like an outsider or disconnected from others? These might just scratch the surface of the questions that may come up, and they are all important in gaining awareness of what might be lying underneath. We all want to feel a sense of belonging and being part of something other than ourselves, which is engrained in the way we interact with the world around us.

" By blending Person-Centered therapy with Psychodynamic, Narrative, Transactional Analysis, and Internal Family Systems tools, we explore how your past shapes you.
I work with individuals and couples navigating life's "in-between" spaces—those feeling the weight of cultural shifts, identity confusion, or family roles that no longer fit. My clients often feel like strangers to themselves, arriving with a sense of survival rather than true connection. I offer a space where your contradictions are welcome and your voice is finally heard. By integrating depth-oriented tools with creative metaphor, I help you untangle old patterns and move through transitions without the need for a clinical script. Together, we work toward living with genuine presence and clarity.

My clients come to me from all walks of life and have experienced trauma recently or in the past. This has resulted in my clients suffering from intense anxiety and fears and/or severe depression as well as relationship difficulties. My clients can feel stuck, vulnerable and helpless, which has such a disabling impact on their lives. I have the ability to initiate and maintain a confidential therapeutic relationship, where my clients feel safe, experience hope and a reduction of their psychological symptoms. My clients leave therapy feeling empowered and able to manage life's stresses. I have clinics in Heswall, Mold and Zoom call.

Eventually I came to a study of Western Psychology, specifically Psychodynamic, Jungian Archetypes, Synchronicity, Dreams, & Shadow Integration work.
Via spiritual counselling, Jungian Archetypes & Active Imagination I assist my clients to access, process and release the unconscious 'baggage' stored in the subconscious, which is often related to recurring life & relationship issues & stubborn negative programmes, e.g. self-sabotage, co-dependency. I also help my clients to gain self-regulation tools.

My training is within Psychodynamic Counselling and Therapy.
Often people wonder how counselling or talking to someone can help. When you see a Counsellor/Therapist, you will have a consistency and continuity of a professional relationship, which provides you a space where you are being properly listened to. This can then allow you to think, and get a clear idea of what is going on for you. Together with your Counsellor/Therapist you can begin to explore and unpack your ideas, views, opinions, etc. This could lead you to more clarity and you may become more mindful of yourself.

I understand that it may be difficult to talk about feelings or even identify them, I aim to provide sessions that will help you to share what's going on and look at strategies for moving forward. The pace of our counseling sessions will be controlled by you and what you want to talk about, if you get a bit stuck I can help prompt the conversation by asking a question or by suggesting an alternative perspective. Exploring the past may provide some answers, then focussing on what's going on now and introducing small adjustments to our established habits can lead to a dramatic change in our behaviour and give options for the future.

Are you in your 30s, quietly panicking that you’re running out of time to figure your life out? Everyone else seems to be moving forward — relationships, careers, families — while you’re overthinking every decision and wondering where you went wrong. Life looks “fine” on the outside but, inside you're exhausted by constant self-doubt, stuck in spirals of overthinking and scared of making the wrong move, so you stay frozen under the pressure to get it right before it’s “too late.”

The distressing impact of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and addictions are often confusing and difficult to make sense of. They are often rooted in our earlier life and relationships but triggered by current circumstances in the present. By exploring your problems in the context of your past and present life, in therapy, this will help you to make sense of your experiences. Through this understanding you will be in a better place, with the guidance of your therapist, to make changes that will make a positive difference to your life.

Making sense of life and our relationships can be challenging at times. We might find ourselves contemplating if we are causing ourselves unnecessary unhappiness, or if this is 'just the way things are'? Should I just keep sticking at 'it', or is it time for things to change? Might we be living our lives in 'survival mode' when we could be 'thriving' instead?

I integrate psychodynamic, Jungian and psychoanalytic practice, focusing on relatedness, the unconscious, and the transpersonal/spiritual.
You may feel you are not getting the most out of your life and are unsure why this is. Perhaps you feel it's hard to feel good about yourself, or you feel stuck. Relationships may not be as fulfilling as you desire. You may relish the opportunity to make a real commitment to your personal growth. I work online or F2F in North Wales. Often my way of working appeals to those who are interested in the arts and/or the spiritual realm and those who appreciate deeper ways of working, in safe and supportive relationship. Looking for psychoanalytic training patients currently as I deepen my work practice.

I have enabled many clients to get out of fear, trauma, stress and chronic anxiety loops. For the past 8 years, the World Health Organisation has recommended ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and not CBT for anxiety, stress and trauma and I specialise in ACT skills - as well as looking to the roots of issues. There are no quick fixes, however, I work in a very effective way as I combine exploring the issues in your life to see where their roots lie, with showing you the skills needed to deal with any anxiety and your own particular thought processes in the present.

Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
