The space that I offer you will be all yours. It will be relaxed and comfortable, which will aid in your ability to feel open. Counselling can be daunting, and beginning- even more so. I aim to make this process as simple as possible, with the main focus being you, and what you want to explore. I will offer my knowledge and experience through ideas, solutions, strategies and techniques. Whatever your goal is, I want to help you achieve it.

I would say my expertise lies mostly with anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues.
I am mainly a humanistic existential therapist, but also have a diploma in CBT skills. This allows me to have a more integrative approach in counselling, this means I can adjust my skills according to the needs of my clients.

Hello! My name is Dawid. I am a CBT therapist. My photo was taken in Cornwall. As you can see I enjoy being in nature (look at that smile). I can walk on cliffs for miles, this really relaxes me. I want you to feel the same and support your wellbeing. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy where we work together to recognise and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours which may be causing you difficulties. We would set achievable goals for future sessions and the final destination of where you would like to be. CBT is short-term. Once you learn some new useful skills you become then your own therapist!

I am particularly passionate about working with people who experience low self-esteem or feelings of shame and inadequacy, and to manage the impact of trauma/PTSD.
I offer assessment, psychological formulation and bespoke intervention. The therapeutic relationship is critical for success and I work to develop a warm and trusting relationship. I work collaboratively with clients to develop a clear, shared understanding of the causes of their distress so that interventions are tailored to their specific needs and goals.

When you’re stuck in anxious thoughts or worries and you have the loudest inner critic in the world, life can feel pretty hard. Maybe it feels like life has flattened you, that you’ve lost your ‘light’ and now anxiety is running the show. Anxiety is your body and mind responding to perceived threat, like an overactive guard dog that keeps woofing at shadows. Those racing thoughts, the tightness in your chest and difficulty sleeping can result in life getting smaller. You want to get on but it's like being in an invisible cage. Whatever it is that brings you to therapy we can explore this together and help you live your life fully.

Whether you seek deep, holistic transformation or a shorter-term, intermittent approach to clear immediate life clutter, I am here. My practice is for those willing to look deeply at their patterns, embrace new perspectives, and commit to moving forward.

I am experienced working with adults and, children and young people, with issues such as bereavements, self-harm, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, and living with neurodivergence.
Hello I am a qualified counsellor specialising in pluralistic practice. The pluralistic theory is an integrated approach meaning I am comfortable working in different types of therapy, such as person centred, CBT, and solution focused. The pluralistic approach believes that as human’s we are all unique, and therefore therapy should be tailored towards a client’s specific goals and needs, taking their individual experiences and preferences into account. I am passionate about this approach and believe therapy should be a collaborative effort where the client and counsellor work together towards achieving a shared aim.

You might feel exhausted by your own mind, always analysing, replaying things, and worrying about what other people think. You can be thoughtful and self-aware, but it doesn’t always make things easier. If anything, it can be hard to know which thoughts are really yours, what you’re actually feeling, or what you truly want. Sometimes emotions feel like a lot, and other times it’s harder to feel anything clearly at all. When that happens, it’s easy to turn on yourself, to question, criticise, or feel like you should be handling things better. This is where having some support can make a difference.

If you are on this page, you are considering counselling. Seeking counselling and potentially talking to a stranger about your emotions can be incredibly intimidating/daunting but this is a sign that you feel there is a need for change. Through counselling, we can explore what is important to you, at your own pace and work towards enrichment.

I know what it is like to have mental health issue. I am wounded healer myself. I have a grown up daughter who had suffered severe depression in her life. I am really keen to work with BAME community. Being an Asian, I totally empathise with current trauma that is being experienced within the community.

Anxiety around intimacy, relationships, or sexual concerns is incredibly common, and the overarching impact that these issues can have on your health and happiness is often underestimated and undervalued. Forming meaningful and honest connections with people including yourself, and feeling empowered to truly accept and project how you feel, good and bad, is challenging with sex and relationships being no exception. Shedding light on the unconscious and bringing new perspectives to your world can be the seed from which healing and personal development grow.

Self Esteem Counsellors
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
