I work with anxiety (including generalised, health and social), Trauma including PTSD/C-PTSD, bereavement, neurodivergent issues, LGBTQIA plus issues, gender dysphoria, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, depression, relationship difficulties and anything else that is on your mind.
Hi, I’m Kat. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—from yourself, from others, or from the life you want to be living. You may be used to masking, pushing through, or coping alone, even when things feel difficult underneath. I offer compassionate, trauma-informed counselling for adults, with a neuro-affirmative and LGBTQIA+ affirmative approach. I provide a warm, non-judgemental space where you don’t need to explain or justify who you are—you can show up as yourself, at your own pace.

Are you trying to understand something from the past or stepping towards something new. Perhaps you are working through memories and emotions that feel stuck, leaving you questioning how to move forward. For some, these questions open up curiosity; for others, they can lead to dark and lonely places. I work with individuals and couples who may feel stuck, overwhelmed or uncertain about how to move forward, and who want to make sense of long-standing patterns in past and present relational experiences, even when thoughts or behaviours feel unchangeable.

People are impacted in different ways when they have experienced trauma in their life such as a single incident like a car accident or repeated incidents such as childhood abuse, bullying or domestic violence as an adult. You might always feel on edge, constantly scanning for danger; re-experience past memories as if they are happening now with intense distress; or find difficulty sleeping due to nightmares. For others, their traumatic experiences may leave them in a place where they find it difficult to trust others, or constantly put themselves last.

I am a friendly and supportive counsellor based in Canton, Cardiff. I work in a collaborative and flexible way and tailor my approach to your specific preferences and needs. It is important to me that you always feel in control of the process. While I can help guide our conversations, you are ultimately best placed to decide how to live your life. Good therapy should give you a fresh perspective on familiar struggles. While this process can be challenging at times, it should also be empowering and liberating and equip you with the strength and confidence you need to move closer towards the kind of life you wish to live.

But that constant inner critic can lead to many common mental health difficulties, including low self-esteem and self-worth, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, poor body image, anxiety and depression.
I'm a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I can offer a warm and accepting space for you, your thoughts and feelings. I can support you to develop a relationship with yourself that is based on kindness, acceptance and understanding, rather than self-punishment. This can calm your threat responses, helping you to feel soothed and centred.

Mental health difficulties can leave us feeling rejected, isolated and alone. This is a hard cycle to break, because we tend to manage our problems in ways that leave us feeling even worse. This is all part of being human. It affects our relationships, our sense of self and our ability to function on a day-to-day basis. It is at times like this that we need support. Someone who can help us to view our problems through a different lens and can help us develop the tools we need to break the cycle. Many people find that therapy is the key to managing their difficulties whilst leading more meaningful lives.

I am a qualified Therapist with 8 years of experience working within the NHS mental health, addiction & Trauma pathways. The key to my work with clients is the belief that, through a psychotherapeutic relationship, we can gain insights into our patterns of behaviour. Working relationally, we can explore the possibility of change and begin to consider alternative positions that lead towards a more compassionate and fulfilled version of ourselves. My primary modalities of working with my clients involve addressing the unmet needs of our life experiences in early years, exploring the relational needs that may have been left unattended.

I work with people who feel anxious, low, or stuck, or who notice themselves repeating patterns in relationships. Sometimes it’s harder to name - more a sense that something isn’t quite right. I offer a calm, relational space where we can explore what’s going on at your pace. Through developing awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, something can begin to shift, allowing for greater clarity, stability, and choice.

When we meet, I will bring to our relationship my experience and expertise in working with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues and loss.
I have trained as an integrative counsellor, and believe that therapy can help us evolve from surviving to thriving. I became a counsellor for many reasons, but fundamentally because of the powerful way in which counselling can help you take back control of your life story; tomorrow does not have to be like yesterday. I can offer you a calm space to explore what feels safe to you until you are ready and I will not make assumptions about the individual struggles you are going through. I work with the full belief that it is possible to find a way through your experiences and re-gain that sense of who you are.

I regularly work with other issues including Anxiety, Depression, Confidence, Self Esteem, Identity issues, understanding behaviours, Neurodivergence, and Stress at work.
Hello, I'm Osian. I've been working in Mental Health for 10 years as a counsellor, supervisor and trainer. I support individuals and couples in-person and online through the medium of English and Welsh. Sometimes we go through distressing, difficult confusing experiences. Day-to-day life can become a bit of a struggle, even relationships become strained. In therapy we can better understand you and your life experiences. By exploring and untangling these difficulties it's possible to make sense of them. This can bring about positive changes where broader perspectives and a deeper understanding that can bring about greater clarity.

Coming to therapy can feel like a big step. At least it did for me! Most people at different times in their lives face problems that may seem insurmountable, seem to be recurrent or seem rooted in their pasts. Being with someone who can give you the space and time to explore yourself, your issues and your emotions can help bring about change. Often, I think, we come to therapy in order to discover the true reason why we have come to therapy. The source of the issue is not always apparent but in the supportive and facilitated space of our therapy sessions, the agency and self-healing abilities we all possess can be stimulated.
