I have much experience working with people from sexual and cultural minorities as well as with neurodiverse groups such as ADHD, Dyslexia and ASD.
Hello! My name is Dawid. I am a CBT therapist. My photo was taken in Cornwall. As you can see I enjoy being in nature (look at that smile). I can walk on cliffs for miles, this really relaxes me. I want you to feel the same and support your wellbeing. Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy where we work together to recognise and challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours which may be causing you difficulties. We would set achievable goals for future sessions and the final destination of where you would like to be. CBT is short-term. Once you learn some new useful skills you become then your own therapist!

Are you Autistic or ADHD and would like somewhere safe to explore how to navigate your way around a neurotypical world whilst remaining your authentic self?
Unsure if counselling is right for you? Perhaps you have never had counselling before and are unsure what to expect. Perhaps you are familiar with therapy but would like to explore working with a new counsellor. Maybe you have thought about counselling before but each time you say to yourself that you will wait and eventually things will be different.

I'm a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist and sleep specialist providing evidence-based psychological interventions (including CBT) for a range of difficulties including insomnia, adult ADHD, anxiety, work-related stress and burnout, trauma, depression, OCD, health anxiety, phobia, self-esteem issues and relationship difficulties.
Psychological support is about investing in you. Life can be chaotic, intense, confusing, and we can be left feeling disconnected from ourselves, our lives, and the people around us. Sometimes we just need some space to stop and think. Psychological support is also about developing a deeper understanding of yourself - who you are, what you need, what matters to you. For others, it's about building on existing skills - how to get more out of relationships, improving communication, being more assertive, boosting your sleep and performance, learning to be the best version of yourself.

Familiar ways of coping no longer work, whether that’s immersive daydreaming, masking undiagnosed ADHD, or endless people-pleasing.
Together we'll lessen distress, increase self-awareness, and better understand your past and present circumstances without self-blame. We’ll explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviour, how you experience yourself and others. We'll seek to identify, accept and integrate confusing or challenging ‘parts’ of you, to enable healing, growth, and change.

I specialise in anger, anxiety, depression, behavioural problems, ASD, ADHD, school refusing and trauma.
Hello, welcome. I can imagine how difficult it must be searching through the profiles trying to find the right therapist. Making the decision to seek help for your child/grandchild is a brave one and sometimes it can be difficult. I have been told by clients that I am calm, warm, welcoming, and approachable; and can put them at ease. I am a Child and Adolescent Therapist who specialises in 7-18 years olds who until recently worked in CAMHS for the NHS for over six years. I decided to work in private practice after seeing so many children whom I could help turned away by CAMHS or who were waiting a long time to get help.

This approach is close to my heart as someone growing up with Dyslexia and ADHD, I often found myself struggling to fit into the mould and I was only able to thrive once my individuality and uniqueness were taken into account.
Hello I am a qualified counsellor specialising in pluralistic practice. The pluralistic theory is an integrated approach meaning I am comfortable working in different types of therapy, such as person centred, CBT, and solution focused. The pluralistic approach believes that as human’s we are all unique, and therefore therapy should be tailored towards a client’s specific goals and needs, taking their individual experiences and preferences into account. I am passionate about this approach and believe therapy should be a collaborative effort where the client and counsellor work together towards achieving a shared aim.

For those who are navigating perimenopause and also where that crosses with adhd/neurodiversity (the joy!) you'll find a warm welcome here.
As each person is unique, so too will be the way we work together. I am an integrative psychotherapist which means that I bring together elements of different therapeutic approaches to suit you, this includes humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy. For trauma work I am able to use the Rewind technique to help alleviate trauma symptoms.

I can offer support if you are at a cross-roads or struggling with things like: brain fog, anxiety, low mood, ADHD, or relationship issues.
Are you needing support to manage: anxiety, low mood, a lack of motivation or relationship issues? Sessions with me, are rooted in compassion and curiosity and an integrated approach allows for flexibility in order for me to tailor sessions to meet your unique needs. I offer talking therapy, but sometimes words are not enough, so we may utilise Art Therapy tools. No experience of art-making is necessary, for things like: journalling, photography, or drawing/doodling to be beneficial.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
