Welcome - I am Francesca and a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and founder of Within You Counselling. I offer a warm, grounded and compassionate space where you can explore what is happening in your life. You will feel genuinely heard and be supported in reconnecting with your inner self. I believe that within each of us lies a quiet wisdom - a knowing - even if it is hard to find at times. Therapy is not about fixing you, you are not broken. It is a about creating a space where what is within you can begin to emerge. My role is to walk alongside you, honestly and with care, as you begin the journey back to yourself.
I work with a range of emotional issues, with a special interest in grief & bereavement, and low self worth and esteem. Through my experience of working with these issues, I have seen by being able to talk freely about deep feelings how this can be empowering and helpful in difficult situations. Other issues include: depression, anxiety, family issues, etc.
I mainly work within the Person-Centred approach and I bring warmth, empathy and respect to all my clients. For successful therapy it is so important that you feel comfortable with your therapist and are able to develop a rapport. Therefore I offer a free 20 minute telephone chat to see how we get on.
