I work with children and young people, specialising in anxiety and OCD. I help them learn new skills and attitudes to improve their ability to handle difficult thoughts and feelings and do more of what matters to them and make more room for connection. Mental health challenges encroach on their lives, make them avoid and make their world smaller. They disconnect from themselves, the things they care about and the people that matter to them. They underestimate their strengths and resources, overestimate life’s challenges and get stuck.
I regularly run group coaching programmes for parents, please enquire for details.
I help young people step into things that are unknown, uncertain and feel difficult so they can connect with and grow the strengths and qualities they need. If they don’t feel ready for therapy, I can work directly with you. I’ll coach you to support them using frameworks that clarify your role, optimise skill building, resilience and growth for your child.
My 24 year career has focussed on supporting young people with social emotional and mental health challenges, in schools, alternative provisions, special schools and prisons as well as in private practice. I've worked with children and teenagers of all ages, with diverse backgrounds, cultures and identities.
