Since graduating from Cambridge University in 2000, Jennifer Cox has worked extensively in psychology roles in psychiatric and forensic mental health settings across London. Jennifer completed her counselling and psychotherapy training at the University of London and the Tavistock Clinic, and is a member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists (conferring eligibility for the British Psychoanalytic Council). She is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society (Clinical Psychology division) and has Registered Scientist status with the Science Council. This grounding enables her to offer you a robust therapeutic support.
Jennifer has a masters in neuroscience from the Institute of Psychiatry, and is a member of the London Neuropsychoanalysis Association; bringing a fusion of neuroscientific and psychoanalytic thinking to her work. This unique insight allows her to help explore your needs from different angles, and consider the biological as well as psychodynamic elements.
In addition to my clinical work, I am the founder of a global community for women called Women Are Mad. WAM was created with the aim of addressing the causes of frequently occurring mental health problems in women.
