I am a Psychotherapist and Couples Counsellor. My approach to therapy is concerned with individual growth and the relational needs of a person: the self, others we care about, and the things we value and need. I aim to assist you in becoming an authentic and self-accepting individual, who can practice choice over whatever life may throw at us - with kindness, heart and courage. I work from a Humanistic/Person Centred base, with you as the starting point. I am an Integrated therapist, which means I can incorporate other modes of therapy to suit clients' needs: from Psychodynamic, Relational to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Many of us struggle to relate to others, to be open, honest and authentic in our responses. We will look at any difficulties you experience in relating to others, be it your partner, work colleague, or family.
I am also a teacher of Psychology. I have been working with children and adults for over 30 years.
How do we really value ourselves and then those around us? Giving ourselves time and prioritising our needs, can be a challenge at first. We will look together at what you want to achieve and what is not supporting you to reach personal goals.
