Counselling in W8
I work with individuals who want more from life than simply coping. Drawing on experience in both private practice and the NHS, I specialise in complex relationships, feelings of shame and guilt, anxiety, and entrenched people‑pleasing patterns that no longer fit the life you’re trying to build. My practice is firmly inclusive of Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diversity (GSRD) and LGBTQ+ identities, and I take a sex‑positive, non‑judgmental approach so you can talk openly about the parts of your life that rarely feel safe to name.

You may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed by specific experiences or circumstances, or you may be unsure why you don’t feel happy. The relationships we have with others, or the relationships we lack or are estranged from, can be confusing, frustrating and deeply hurtful. Our environment and how we are seen by other people may leave us feeling pressurised, dismissed or misunderstood. Together, we can work to explore and understand your experience, allowing you to process some of the painful feelings which have left you feeling distressed. Working sensitively at your pace, we can explore how you feel without judgment.

Hello, I'm an experienced UKCP psychotherapist and supervisor, offering face-face and online therapy. You may want to address a specific issue such as anxiety, low self esteem, work burnout or relationship difficulties, or perhaps you're a couple facing a crisis. Sometimes there is just a vague, nagging sense that something feels wrong. Most of us hold parts of ourselves which feel elusive or unwanted, and sometimes deeply painful. By working in therapy we can explore those shadow sides, to help better understand the obstacles that may be holding us back.

People often begin therapy when recurring patterns start to interfere with how they want to live or relate to others. You might feel overwhelmed by stress, unsure how to respond to challenges, or aware that something needs to change even if the next step isn’t clear. Therapy offers a structured way of working toward change, whether that involves gaining perspective, developing different responses, or addressing longer-standing difficulties.

I am a psychologist trained in Greece and a UKCP registered Systemic Family and Couples therapist with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, families & couples in various psychological services in the NHS, while I am running a private practice. I am trained in various evidence-based approaches, but I tend to tailor my approach based on my clients needs and in collaboration with them. I believe our relationships is a mirror through which we see ourselves and the world around us and I tend to use a relational lens in my work, which also aligns with my extensive training in psychotherapy.

I work with adults and couples who are suffering from depression, anxiety and grief caused by relationship loss. When a relationship breaks down, or keeping a relationship is difficult, or someone dies, we lose a part of ourselves. We feel lost and we have a diminished sense of self. Working together we can understand the process of grief, work through the stages, work on regaining strength and self-identity towards a place of happiness. My personal and professional understanding of grief allows me to hold space for my clients in a way that feels authentic and safe. I can sit with ambiguity and pain knowing that there is hope.

Problems with a particular relationship is often what brings individuals and couples to relationship counselling and psychotherapy. As an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist I offer a non judgmental space where we can think together about the interaction and the conflicts of this relationship, seek to understand the recurrent patterns of difficulties you are facing and resolve the underlying issues. Counselling and psychotherapy may involve exploring the past to the extent that it influences the present.

Do relationships feel like hard work instead of bringing you joy and being a "safe heaven"? Whether you’re single, dating or in a long-term relationship, you still may feel lonely, confused or stuck. And you start overthinking, feeling anxious, guilty or “not enough”. Maybe you keep arguing about “small things”, avoid intimacy or notice the same painful story repeating with different people.
But deep down, you long for calm, emotional safety and honest conversations – to feel close and wanted, and finally relax and be yourself without losing your independence

Whether you are coming to therapy for the first time or seeking a new way of looking at things, your reason for coming to therapy is unique to you. I aim to work collaboratively with you to discover meaning of current distress or patterns of behaviour which you may be finding difficult, through its association with past relationships and experiences. My goal is to help you feel like a more confident, authentic version of yourself who will be better equipped to deal with difficult feelings in the future.

The longer I work as a therapist the more convinced I am that when I go into the therapy room I do not meet an issue, a problem, or a diagnosis, I meet a human being. And if we are going to work together, then I need to be seeing the client’s world (as far as I can) through the client’s eyes. So I hesitate to say that I specialise in any particular issue. I hope I specialise in listening deeply and with attention to human beings.
I like to think that therapy is like a guide that encourages you to see what you may have missed or ignored. I work with clients encouraging different aspects of the personality to find their voice.

Therapy is an investment in yourself and your relationships. It can reveal aspects of yourself that you have taken for granted, such as overworking, over-rationalizing, people-pleasing, or dismissing your own needs and emotions. These patterns emerge because they once served us at different points in life, but what may have been helpful in the past doesn’t always serve us in adulthood. Many clients are motivated to explore these unexamined aspects of themselves—what I often refer to as their 'autopilot'—and to gain greater awareness of how these tendencies shape their relationships and sense of self.
