The fact that we are alive, proves we are resilient and creative enough in our attempts to face life’s challenges. At times our experience may become overwhelming or too painful to adapt to, or the adaptation may come with great consequences. The long-term effects of this may lead to anxiety, low mood or lack of confidence. When stress keeps us in its grip for too long, some health problems or physical pain / psychosomatic symptoms may develop as a consequence. You may be feeling that you cannot live fully or express yourself, as if there was a block or a barrier between you and life, you and others, or you and your core self.

Is there something preventing you from doing what you want or from behaving in the way that you want? Taking the next step to speak about experiences, thoughts, feelings, and deeply held beliefs is a game changing, reviving experience. Emotional stress can get in the way of your life, job, relationships and your future. Whether its anger, sadness, grief or anxiety, feeling disconnected can also lead to physical stress on your body. It’s often a solitary existence. Please feel free to contact me for an initial no-obligation online chat.

My approach is psychoanalytic, with an emphasis on the meaningful relationship between the patient and the analyst, who curiously engage with the painful problem, symptom, or difficult behaviour. Both client and therapist work together to make valuable improvements to the client’s emotional world, within a stable, consistent setting.

Success is often depicted as a series of milestones achieved through talent, hard work, and perseverance. Yet, there’s a hidden dimension to success that goes beyond external accomplishments. The "secret language of success" includes understanding and overcoming personal emotional challenges that can impede our progress. Every successful individual has faced various personal challenges. Typically, the impact of such challenges goes unnoticed for quite some time. Anxiety can make it hard for us to focus and perform. Depression can cast a shadow over our aspirations. Low self-esteem and self-doubt can inhibit our confidence.

I am a trauma-informed psychosexual and relationship therapist and I work with adults and couples experiencing sexual and relational difficulties, including the effects of complex trauma, birth or medical experiences, intimacy anxiety, erectile dysfunction, infidelity, betrayal, traumatic loss and distressing sexual patterns.

Having worked for many years in fast-paced professional environments, I understand the pressure to keep going while something inside asks for attention. This can show up as anxiety, burnout, low mood, emotional reactivity, or a sense that something no longer fits. You may have spent years prioritising responsibility, achievement, or others’ needs. Therapy with me can offer space to slow down, making sense of your emotional world, understand repeating patterns, and move towards a life that feels more authentic, grounded, and aligned.

When thinking about therapy, it might be difficult to know where to start or what to expect. From my experience, the best way is to have a face-to-face initial consultation. This will allow you to get a sense of whether you feel comfortable in sharing your feelings and thoughts with me. There is no obligation to continue after the first meeting. Usually, I allow 3-4 sessions before deciding on working together. If we both agree that therapy can be beneficial then we will have our agreement, including a regular weekly time slot and a fee.
