Perhaps you’re a teenager or young adult, who experiences physical symptoms of anxiety (such as stomach aches or racing heart), which make you want to avoid certain situations. Or maybe you’re a parent or guardian, eager to get the best support for a loved one who struggles with anxious thoughts or behaviours. Rest assured, you’ve come to the right place. I care. My interest in providing timely treatment for difficulties such as these is the reason why I founded Flourishing Futures Psychology. I too was prone to getting tangled up with anxiety when I was younger, so I know how it can try to trip you up.

I work with an emphasis on creating a safe and confidential environment to encourage emotional growth and to allow you to resolve problems and make changes in order to lead a more fulfilled life. Therapy can help you to understand and resolve your difficulties by providing the time and space to reflect and to consider how the events of the past have contributed to your current situation. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is based on the idea that our unconscious fears, desires and needs impact on our conscious life. I will work with you to allow feelings which are hidden, for whatever reason, to come to the fore and be understood.

My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in establishing sustainable relationships to self, others and the world in which we dwell. Through a creative, body based approach, I can offer you a space to meet what is challenging or what weighs upon you and nourish what helps you feel well, resourced and grounded. In our sessions you can expect talking, moving, art making and creative writing but the way the sessions unfold will be guided by you and your process.

Warm welcome. I'm a EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, BACP Accred. Counsellor and Supervisor. Choosing a therapist with whom to connect and build a trusting therapeutic relationship can feel daunting, even risky, yet also empowering and hopeful. What does it feel like to take off masks, shedding protective layers that keep the authentic, vulnerable self safe while navigating through challenging or traumatic times? Together we can explore what you feel ready and safe to share - whether these are current, buried or almost forgotten experiences.

My role as a therapist is to be with you as you explore the events and relationships that have shaped the person you are today. I think therapy works best when each of us brings a sense of curiosity about what you have to say (and about what goes unsaid), a willingness to ask meaningful questions, and a commitment to being honest, open, and present.
Sessions are offered in my London office with online availability throughout the world. I am accredited by Social Work England and licensed in New York State.

I work with adults aged 18+ who present with anxiety, low mood, depression, life changes and relationship difficulties. Our work involves exploring unconscious thoughts and feelings so that you can observe your behaviour and understand what drives you. You are then in a position to choose to change your behaviour or not. My orientation is psychodynamic which involves making sense of how the past impacts on the present. Sessions can be time-limited (8-16 sessions) or open-ended. How we work, depends on your presenting issue and what is best for you. I work face-to-face or on-line.

Maybe you’ve worked hard to stay strong and independent — keeping things together, staying in control, not needing too much from anyone. But underneath, there’s a part of you that still longs for connection, to be seen and wanted. Maybe you replay conversations in your head, second-guess yourself, or feel stuck with a constant sense that you’re not good enough — even if no one else sees it. Maybe there are days when everything feels heavy, and you're not even sure what you're reaching for anymore.

You may have tried therapy before, but it didn’t quite reach the deeper layers.
I offer Schema Therapy — a powerful, compassionate model to heal longstanding emotional patterns. I blend Schema Therapy with CBT, ACT, CFT and mindfulness across lifespan. Together, we find lasting change, not just quick fixes.

Are you burned out and overwhelmed? I help adult professionals manage stress and anxiety through talking therapy, presence practice and mindfulness.
We can all experience burn out at some point. It's normal and it's nature's way of telling us to slow down. We don't always have the luxury of slowing down but we can learn to feel more connected to ourselves and others.

NB My practice is currently full. I will be accepting new clients from April.
Do you find yourself caught in familiar patterns that leave you feeling unseen or overwhelmed? Maybe relationships feel confusing, or you end up caring for others so much that your own needs slip out of focus. You might sense old wounds being stirred and feel unsure how to navigate this alone.
I work well with people who are curious about themselves and their relationships, especially when past trauma still shapes how they feel and respond. Our work will involve collaborating to create a contained space where we can make sense of these patterns together.

Many of my clients feel capable on the outside but anxious, low, or overwhelmed on the inside. They’re tired of overthinking, self-criticism, or feeling stuck in the same patterns. If you’re looking for clarity, practical tools, and a calm, supportive space to understand what’s going on, CBT can help. Together, we can work towards feeling more in control, more grounded, and more like yourself again.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are members of the main professional associations, mainly the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). Most Psychologists in the directory are accredited members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and/or are registered in the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP).
Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given that professional memberships are not a statutory requirement for psychotherapists and counsellors in the UK, certain qualified professionals or organisations may choose not to maintain such memberships despite possessing the necessary qualifications. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?
Counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and experience that enable them to do so in the UK. Psychologists have earned a degree in psychology and many are members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and have completed a postgraduate qualification in a specialism. Counsellors and Psychotherapists are not required to have a psychology degree, but to belong to a professional organisation such as the BACP or UKCP, they are required to have completed a training course as well as clinical and supervision hours.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
How much does therapy cost?
The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the UK could be between £30 - £60 when seeing a counsellor and £60 - £150 and up when seeing a clinical psychologist. If you have private insurance, your plan may cover some if not all of your sessions. You should contact your insurance provider to determine if they provide coverage for therapy sessions and to determine what, if any, requirements they might have in order for your sessions to be covered, such as a referral from your GP or medical specialist.
What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?
Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.
If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. The NHS Talking therapies programme offers free of charge counselling for common mental health problems like anxiety and depression. The service is available to anyone registered with a GP, though you do not necessarily need to be referred by your GP and can refer yourself directly to a Talking therapies service. The service will provide different solutions, including group and individual therapy, for a limited number of sessions which are generally up to six.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.
Are therapy sessions confidential?
Therapists who are part of a professional organisation such as the BACP, the UKCP, or BPS are bound by an ethical framework that requires them to uphold a confidentiality agreement. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there has been participation in a criminal act or act of terror, or if there is potential or known harm to the client or others, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
