Hello my name is Viv and I work in a person centred, integrative way from my counselling space which is called "The Sitting Room". Embarking on counselling can feel daunting especially when life has made you feel really challenged, but just making that phone call is a good start. I have worked with adults, teenagers, children and the elderly. I previously worked with vulnerable adults and children within an organisation so gained a lot of experience of working with difficult situations. Working alongside a client in a confidential way together we can explore issues and bring about some positive change.
When I first meet my clients, it is a free consultation. You will undertake a short assessment and decide whether we can work together. I can work in the long term or short term, it truly is what suits the client the best. We also explore what you hope to gain from counselling. I also work in the evenings which suits some clients better.
In my counselling room "The Sitting Room," working together, we will be able to explore your issues to help you move forward in a positive way. I am governed by the ethical framework of the BACP, which ensures that you (and me) are held in a safe way of working. We can even meet virtually if that suits more.
