Hi, Welcome to this page. I am Virginia, an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor. I have a profound passion for working with clients who have experienced abusive relationships (romantic or parental) and so would need support in recovering from it, establishing a healthier relationship with the self, and significant ones. If you have low self-esteem, anxiety about establishing new relationships, difficulty in trusting people, struggle with depression as a result of a break up or a loss, or have a tendency to take all the responsibility within your relationships, I would love to hear from you. My therapeutic approach is Rogerian, which means that I regard you as your own expert and so will make sure to create a space in which together we will safely work on the aftermath impact that abuse has had on you, either emotionally and behaviourally. I also incorporate IFS and somatic techniques so that you can build self-confidence and internal safety.

From our work together, you might gain an understanding on manipulative behaviors, identify the role you have in your relationships, set healthy boundaries, work on grief and shame, manage and cope with anxiety, depression, anger or loneliness. Recovering from a relational abuse is truly a spiritual recovery and I can't wait to facilitate yours.
