I qualified as a clinical psychologist 27 years ago and have experience of working with people across the age span, particularly within adult mental health and child and adolescent mental health. People consult me about a range of situations and problems, for example; anxiety, depression and other mental health concerns, relational and family distress, grief, loss, trauma, abuse, chronic illness and work related difficulties. My aim is to work alongside you to empower you to respond to the problems you are facing in ways that are in keeping with your values and preferences.
As a highly specialist and experienced clinical psychologist I am trained in a range of evidence based psychological therapies, enabling me to adapt my approach to suit you. I have a specialism in trauma and I am an accredited EMDR practitioner.
I have a warm and compassionate approach. Our work will be based upon transformative and collaborative conversations that are respectful of the knowledge, skills, experience and expertise that you hold in relation to your own life. My aim is to facilitate change in ways that will empower you and reduce the experience of stigma.
