My name is Vicky and I am a highly empathic and professional psychotherapist. I am psychodynamically trained which means I can help you to explore how you have learnt to relate to the world, to others and how the world relates back to you. We often hold onto past or recent trauma and it shapes how we feel, think and behave, often resulting in unhealthy defences. I can help you to unravel this and be more at peace with the world. I have experience of helping clients living with psychosis, disordered eating, low self-esteem, bereavement, personality disorders, abusive relationships and learning difficulties to name just a few.
Art Psychotherapy is a form of psychotherapy which involves art making and conversation. I am very much client led so if you wish to just talk all session then this is absolutely fine. Equally, if there are some sessions where you wish to create art with very little talking, then this is fine too. The sessions are tailored for your individual needs.
My aim is to help my clients to regain their self-esteem, confidence, trust and independence. I offer 1:1 sessions for adults and young people. I understand how hard it is to make the first step towards getting help and I am sensitive and empathic to your individual needs. I want to empower my clients to find a happier and healthier path.
