About
I provide counselling for people who might be facing uprooting life challenges, experience overwhelm, depression, anxiety, or simply would like to start a new journey of growth and improved well-being. I started my journey as a volunteer for the Samaritans and have ten years of experience as a support group facilitator. My practice is trauma-informed and humanistic. I have a special interest and experience in providing therapy for chronic shame, complex trauma and symptoms arising from adverse childhood experiences. I believe that human beings have an innate tendency to orient towards growth.
I work for the NHS and in private practice and have extensive experience in providing counselling for survivors of domestic abuse, complex trauma, or traumatic bereavement. I have worked as counsellor for a local Women's Centre and have also conducted group therapy programmes for relatives of people who died in road traffic incidents (Road Peace Charity).
Going to therapy can seem daunting, so feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how the process would work or if we would be a good fit. I embrace a compassionate, open, and cooperative stance with a focus on the integration of our bodily, emotional, and thought-based processes. In many ways starting therapy can be the best form of self care.
