Struggling with addiction, mental health challenges or bereavement? You don’t have to face it alone. I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and begin making positive changes. I specialise in substance misuse, mental health and bereavement, with 8 years experience in NHS inpatient services, 6 years in detox and 4 years in community drug and alcohol teams. I’ve also supported people through child loss and bereavement. I work with all genders, faiths and LGBTQ+ clients and bring empathy and authenticity to the work we do together. I am a qualified member of the BACP, working in person and online.
Hi, I'm Ian & alongside my professional training, I also bring lived experience of recovery from addiction and mental health challenges. This allows me to understand first-hand how difficult life can sometimes feel. My approach is genuine, straightforward and compassionate, and where appropriate I also believe in a healthy dose of challenge and humour too!
I am based in Mossley, Tameside, on the border of Saddleworth and Oldham.
