Hi, I'm Trudie and I am a person-centred Counsellor and I work with adult clients experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties, although I have a special interest in bereavement counselling. Sometimes it can be really helpful to talk to someone outside your family and social circle and I work from the view that, as my client, you are the expert on yourself so the focus is alway on you, and I will always respect your thoughts and feelings. My aim is to provide a confidential space, where you will be truly heard, and enabled to make sense of the struggles and questions you may be facing in your life.
I work with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties, although I have a special interest in bereavement counselling. Bereavement counselling is about loss and loss can come in many different forms, loss of a loved one, loss of a relationship, employment loss, loss of a pet, loss through disability or illness.
From my own experiences, I know that contacting a counsellor can be daunting. Therefore it is important to choose a counsellor you feel you can connect with and trust. If you decide to approach me, my aim will be to offer you a counselling space where you feel truly listened to, in a safe and confidential space.
