About
I 'm a BACP Senior Accredited Supervisor/Psychotherapist and an EMDR Europe Consultant Supervisor. I am in a very small cohort (3.5%) of BACP's 48,983 members have attained BACP Senior Accredited status. The extra qualifications, experience and expertise matter when seeking a Counsellor or Supervisor. I lecture on supervision and trauma Nationally & Internationally. I have over 15,000 hrs clinical experience and have held the following job descriptions :- lead of trauma team; counselling manager; Director of Counselling; Clinical Director. I am in a very small group of therapists in Ireland with an MSc. in Psychological Trauma.
I am in a very small group of therapists in Ireland with a MSc.(Masters) in Psychological Trauma Management. I work with all types of trauma/complex trauma including clerical sexual abuse; sexual abuse; coercive control. I have evidenced my experience and expertise before my peers and that is why I'm a BACP Senior Accredited Psychotherapist/Supervisor.
My theoretical framework is designed to empower the client. You know you. I'm there to listen, learn and try to collaboratively discuss and agree a treatment plan for the way forward towards resolution of your issues. You will not be judged or belittled. You are normal, but have been overwhelmed by abnormal events. You will be kept safe and contained.
