Reaching out can feel daunting - I offer empathy and a safe, supportive, environment in which we can explore issues and identify: your strengths, values, goals, alternative perspectives and potential changes. Many clients present with anxiety, depression, stress or lacking meaning/joy - we can address the issues that may feel overwhelming and disentangle them. We can either work on longer-term deeper changes or employ short-term strategies. Personal histories can impact on people and you have the option to address yours and change your lived experience. I work with diverse clients of all ethnicities/genders/sexualities/body shapes.
I work to create a safe, non-judgemental space & work at your pace. Alongside specialist counselling training I have bereavement & loss training. My background is in Literature & Philosophy with an interest in communication and what makes people tick. I use this to enrich my practice. BACP Reg. Member since 2014. I supervise Counsellors & taught Counselling.
I offer a free phone consultation. I use a Person/Client Centered approach to establish good working relationships, communication & empathy. Our work may consider your past/present relationships using the Psychodynamic approach, and consider attachment styles. We have the option to challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours by integrating C.B.T. techniques.
