My background is in Psychodynamic Counselling; that is acknowledging and understanding that our past and childhood experiences can have a lasting impact on our lives in the here and now and can also influence the ways in which we interact with others in our current lives. The more deeply we can understand this, hopefully the freer from it we can become.
I have particular experience working with the emergency services and have a depth of understanding of that background and environment. I champion men accessing counselling, exploring their inner worlds and reaching out and seeking support.
I have had further Psychodynamic and Integrative Training in Couples Counselling which I feel passionately about.
