I have 30 years’ experience supporting adults with addiction, including alcohol and drug use.
I also work extensively with anxiety, including GAD and OCD, as well as depression, anger, relationship issues, and compulsive behaviours such as pornography use, and my work frequently involves patients with complex needs, including trauma, neurodiversity, and personality disorders.
I practise privately in Kentish Town and I work at The Nightingale, a private adult mental health and addiction hospital in Marylebone in central London.
An initial consultation to discuss your needs in more detail is half my usual session fee.
I work with alcohol and drug dependence and other compulsions as behavioural defences. These defences often create harm. I support you to stop or control the behaviour so we can do the deeper work of understanding and resolving the emotional issues you may be avoiding or not yet seeing.
The best way to find the right therapist for you is to meet two or three and make a decision based on who you felt best understood your problem and gave you the clearest idea of how they could help you. This can make finding the right therapist expensive so, in consideration of this, I charge half my usual session rate for our initial meeting.
