About
My lived experience of Dual Heritage, my invisible and visible difference, (as a part of the Black community), has been the foundation of my practice. As an Integrative therapist, incorporating the Intercultural model of therapy, I have worked extensively with people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Hearing, from the perspective, of what clients bring, enabling a safe environment for them to explore their issues, I work holistically with my client's needs. I offer a warm acceptance to the parts they share as they step into the connectedness of the true self, removing the mask of a system, into a loving authenticity.
An Intercultural approach, enables the relationship between the client and therapist to look at all aspects of the presenting issues together. I facilitate clients to hold the wholeness of themselves safely, as we include their cultural background, & how its dynamics causes patterns in how they function. We work together finding solutions to their problems.
We all come with issues of relating to the world. Why we behave in the way we do is often born out of life's journey. We are all Human Beings first and foremost and can have difficult life experiences that lead to us seeking support. At times we just need our own real, safe and confidential place, to be heard and become ourselves. "To Be Me" is that space.
