My name is Asiya Mohamed. I am a qualified psychotherapist/counsellor with extensive and varied experience working in the NHS, the voluntary sector, and my private practice.
I hold UKCP registration, am a registered member of BACP, and am a member of BAATN, the Black, African, and Asian Therapy Network.
My counselling training drew upon different approaches to therapy, which allows me to employ the most significant and appropriate features of each. I offer integrative and intercultural psychotherapy/counselling. I consider the uniqueness of each client’s individuality and diversity.
Therapy can be short term (8-20 sessions) and long term which is ongoing depending on clients' individual needs and presenting issues. I am a registered member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I abide by the BACP code of conducts and ethics to work professionally to a high standard.
I work with people from all backgrounds and offer counselling in English and community languages such as Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
