Does your child find it hard to manage emotions, behaviour, friendships, or struggle with hyperactivity? Play Therapy offers children and young people (ages 4–16) a supportive space to explore their feelings, understand themselves, and make sense of the world around them. Your child can experiment with solutions to difficulties, and develop healthy ways of coping. This not only supports their physical and cognitive growth but also nurtures wellbeing and happiness. By using art, clay, sand play, small world, movement, music and therapeutic story telling, your child can explore even the biggest or most difficult feelings.
Play works differently from talking therapies. I offer clear boundaries and familiar materials so that symbolic expression can take place, allowing your child to express thoughts and feelings that might otherwise be hard to put into words. Crutially, your child is not alone with their feelings and it is this that can make all the difference.
