My style of counselling is person-centred and I am a registered member of the BACP. As well as working in my own private practice, I volunteer at my local hospice providing bereavement support and provide counselling to support offenders within the prison service. I am also a counselling tutor at my local college. I offer support with issues including anxiety and low mood as well as providing specialised and specific support for major life experiences such as infertility, relationship breakdown, bereavement, redundancy, changes in life direction, couples counselling, family therapy, becoming a new parent, becoming a step-parent.
I work within a traditional counselling room setting as well as offering walk-and-talk therapy outside. This is a very helpful way of experiencing counselling and walks will suit all abilities including wheelchair users. I work independently as well as co-counselling when working with families. I also work with separated parents, focusing on co-parenting.
Not all counselling work has to go back to the past and I am able to work with clients who wish to stay in the present and work through issues using solution focused techniques. Please call me or visit my website and email, if you would like to discuss making an appointment. I work in Amersham and Aylesbury Vale and also offer online counselling.
