Hi my name is Lynsey and I am a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Therapist. I have completed the specialised EMDR training for children which enables me to work with children and young people. I have 20 years of experience working with children and young people and this is my specialty. I am also a Registered Mental Health Nurse working within a CAMHS team.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for disorder specific intervention such as OCD, social anxiety, low mood, GAD, phobia, trauma. I also am able to offer EMDR for a range of difficulties. I am also trained in DBT skills.
CBT is a psychotherapy treatment which is goal oriented and is delivered with he client in mind. CBT help with the way we think, and what we do which in turn can help make positive changes and treat a wide range of issues. EMDR is a modality I used with multiple presentations and proves to be effective, especially for PTSD
